The venom has become alarmingly lethal in the coming year's generation five Viper from Chrysler LLC. As the unveiling of the New York Auto Show was underway one V-10, American-muscle poised coiled to strike and debilitate it's audience for it's slithery debut. The 640 horsepower, Detroit-built, supercar gives Ferrari a cleverly reticent fear yet for even the bravest to drive in it's newly designed cockpit and scales.
Newly redesigned frame will increase stiffness and is purported to be 'significantly' lighter. Besides the obvious new curves, under the shed skin is now carbon-fiber. The engineers of SRT have stunningly taken the 2010 8.4L engine and created an additional 40 horses for the 2013 Viper. Either way this is the highest output engine commercially that is non-turbocharged, naturally aspirated. Carroll Shelby must be smiling from beyond because we thought there couldn't be much more to improve upon with such a sensational design since '91 but the SRT Team has yet to disappoint!
More specs and pics to be delivered as release information is still coagulating..
